This one made to explore too ! Khalsa literally meaning "Pure". The tenth Guru of the Sikhs initiated Sikhs into baptism and these baptized Sikhs are known as "Khalsa". A baptized Sikh has to follow the Guru's teachings and keep his life simple and dignified. Also he/she has to keep 5 K's- i) Kesh- Uncut hair ii) Kara- Iron bracelet iii) Kangha-A small comb iv) Kachha- An underwear of a particular type and v) Kirpan- Sword, for a distinct identity and as a sort of dress code. Khalsa is the army of the Sikhs and was raised in 1699 to fight the evil forces & help the weaker sections of the society during the Muslim rule in India.
